Composting & Mulching

Composting

Making compost for your garden is as easy as it is necessary. Just alternate layers of brown (leafy/stemmy) material with green (kitchen scrappy) stuff. Add some H2O to keep your compost moist & turn it every week or two.

If you do your simple part, Nature will take care of all the intricate details.

Mulching

Like composting, mulching uses organic matter to improve the health and productivity of your garden soil and your veggies.

All you do is add about a 4—8 cm (1.5—3 inch) layer of organic matter like weed-free straw or dog poo-free grass clippings around your growing veggies.

Done correctly and to the right vegetables, mulching can be of great benefit to your garden
